ASFPM submitted our comments on the CEQ proposed changes to NEPA rules today. Attached is a copy of our submittal. We oppose the proposed rule, explain our concerns and urge continued use of the existing NEPA rule.

Dear ASFPM members, chapter leaders and state floodplain staff:
Yesterday, the Senate voted to approve a $1.4 trillion spending package that will fund the federal government through the end of September 2020. In addition to containing an extension of the NFIP until September 30, 2020; the spending bill also includes $263 million for flood mapping. Advisers to the President have indicated he will sign it.
Much of the success ASFPM achieves as an association is due to the hard work of members who take on leadership roles by serving on the board, co-chair any of our 14 policy committees, or lend their time and expertise in any number of capacities.
