ASFPM submits second set of comments on FFRMS implementing guidelines

ASFPM submitted its second set of comments on the draft implementation guidelines for the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard.
You can read the full document, or skip to pg. 5 to read the comments submitted May 6. View document here.
The consolidated comments document represents an earlier set of comments submitted April 7 that were more general in nature, and comments submitted May 6 provide specific feedback based on the line numbers in the draft guidelines.
Several of the specific comments reflect comments ASFPM members submitted and shared with us.

With the close of the comment period, another clock has begun. Now agencies have 30 days to submit their implementation plans to the White House. Those plans will detail which policies, procedures, and/or regulations agencies plan to update along with the timeline and public engagement that may be necessary. These plans should provide some insight and clarity as to which programs and actions might be updated–a question that a lot of our members have!

Be sure and check ASFPM’s FFRMS Resource Page here for updated news and information.
