FEMA Releases Elevation Certificate with New Version Date

EMA has now posted the 2019 Edition of the Elevation Certificate. The only change from the previous one is the Expiration Date, which is now November 30, 2022. It can be found at www.fema.gov/media-library/assets/documents/160.

Since the website verbiage has not been updated and a Bulletin has not been issued, ASFPM has reached out to FEMA to see if there will be a grace period, and if so, for how long, to allow for the transition over to the new form.

ASFPM participated in FEMA’s Elevation Certificate workgroup to identify corrections and changes needed to update the EC. FEMA submitted this EC with recommended changes to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for their review and is waiting to hear back from them.
