After nearly two decades, Jacquelyn Monday is stepping down as editor of the News & Views. During those years, floodplain management in the United States grew in both stature and professionalism, and its relevance to many broader issues became more widely recognized – such as the economy, ecosystem protection, sustainability, levee safety, and flood risk. Under Monday’s technical and professional guidance, the newsletter grew at a great pace, becoming more comprehensive as it embraced increasingly sophisticated articles, columns, and invited informative and editorial pieces. We will miss her eye for issues, attention to detail, and professional editorial touch. ASFPM cannot thank Jacki enough for her dedicated years of service helping advance us as a major force in the FPM industry. News & Views will now be produced by Rebecca Head and Diane Brown in the ASFPM Executive Office. The deadline for submissions remains the 18th of odd-numbered months. Please send all future editorial matter to memberhelp@floods.org.
